It is candle magic and rosemary.

A little candle magic and rosemary. It's very easy. It's an accessible form of spell work where the color of the candle has everything to do with everything. All the things it aligns with specific intentions, energies, or outcomes. The color helps focus your energy and corresponds to elements, planets, chakras, or emotions. And I'm gonna get into all the colors. So the first one that I'm gonna do is white candles. They're versatile, you can use them for anything.

So while the colors help you focus on what your intentions are, and which, if you do have the right color candles, I would recommend using that color. But if you don't, white is versatile and you can use it for anything. So white is for purity, peace, spirituality, cleansing, protection, healing, new beginnings, truth, connection to higher self or the goddess. You can use this for any spell if you're not sure about a specific color. I mean, obviously, you can look it up, and I'm gonna give you the meanings of different ones. So if you need to, you can always come back to this episode and listen. But white is always a good go-to. So then we have black candles. I also have a bunch of those. Those are a personal favorite of mine.

I have several just lounging around in my house, not paying rent, but it's fine. They're used for banishing negativity. Actually, you know what? That's their rent. Banishing negativity, they're good for protection, binding, absorbing unwanted energy, breaking hexes or bad habits, grounding, and reversing curses. Also great for ending situations or shielding.

We have red, passion, love, lust, or sexual, courage, strength, vitality, energy, willpower, fast action, and determination tied to fire and Mars for quick results. Now, this is like a forte of mine because I do I have done in the past a lot of the love spells.

Yeah, I got uh that backfired. You really black candles. So now that's why my house is filled with black candles. But it worked. Not saying it didn't work, that's why you gotta be careful. You gotta be careful what you do. But this was all I was new to, which I still am, new to witchcraft and candle magic and meanings and what you need to do and not do and all that stuff. So in the same family as the red candle, you have the pink candle, self-love, emotional healing, compassion, joy, harmony in relationships.

And doesn't pink um represent like Aphrodite? Like if you wanted to is it Aphrodite or which goddess is it if you wanted to put a candle on your altar for her? I thought it was pink.

Is I'm trying to remember if that was Hecate, because I did know. I think I put one up there for Aphrodite and it was pink, and I put all the shit in it.

Yeah, so that those, yes, those were on my altar for them. But yeah, so you can use either one of those. I will say red is a little bit more on the risque side if you're if you're looking for that.

Out of every orifice, including your eyeballs, all the holes, eyeballs, nostrils, ear holes, all the holes. I won't go into any other holes, but if you want to, red candles, and then pink is gonna be more for like obviously, like I said, romantic love, more of an emotional connection. Okay, we've done love. Now let's move into something we all really love. Green, money, money, money. Exactly. Abundance, prosperity, money, career growth, fertility, good luck, physical healing, nature, grounding. It's also a connection to the earth. It's green, earth is green. But if you want that money, honey, you better light that green candle.

I love a green candle, but I think we've established that I'm very much earthy. So I feel like I'm more drawn to things like that. And money. I love money.

Exactly. Let me just get a love my abundance, prosperity, and all things, like abundance and prosperity and all things, not just in monetary wealth.

Yes, yes. It can be abundance, like in in your work life. But this is also good for fertility, too, which can be prosperity, abundance, all the same thing. But yeah, you can use it. You can use it for that stuff too. Physical healing, green is really good for that. Even there are some green crystals that you could use for healing.

Mm-hmm. Yep, yep. Those are those are all really good. Moving on to our next candle is yellow, and that one is good for intellect, mental clarity, confidence. You can do the confidance if you so choose. Joy, success, communication, focus, memory, optimism, and solar energy. I might need to do the yellow candle for memory because I'm starting to lose it.

You need, we both need. We're gonna take us a little trip to the Dollar Tree. We're gonna get us a yellow candle, we're gonna write on it, we're gonna put some herbs in that bitch, and we're gonna light it.

Yes, which I will get into that too. Perfect. All the things that you that you do with the candle is also going to affect your intentions. Um, and then we have the orange candle, creativity, motivation, ambition, success, justice, attraction, enthusiasm, emotional healing, and positive change. So if you don't like where you're at, you want to change something, you want it to go in a good direction, orange candle.

I feel like those can go together. Like yellow and orange is very like sunshiny to me, so it makes sense.

There's a lot of them in here that correspond and they can be used in different ways. But you know, creativity is I'm starting to lose that too. So I need to uh same.

Yeah, I think that's a great idea.

Okay, cool. All right, moving on. Blue is good for calm, peace, healing, and the healing can be emotional or spiritual healing, communication, truth, inspiration, harmony, intuition, and tranquility. Darker blues are good for a deeper calm, and then lighter blues are good for clarity.

That makes sense because I could, I mean, I could do an entire episode on crystals, but like sodalite, it's a deeper blue, and then kayanite is a lighter blue, and they kind of correspond with the colors of the candle.

Right, yes, and you can, if you so choose, if you have these crystals in your possession, you can use those too when you're doing your candle magic. Yes, all right, next candle, purple, purple psychic abilities. That's me, psychic ability, spirituality, wisdom, power, ambition, divination, higher knowledge, protection, and spiritual development.

I think it would be better if you did it one at a time so you could focus on your intentions because if you do it all at once, you're having to focus on like protection, sex, fucking romantic love, creative, and you we can't do that. No, we can't. The candles will just be like, I'm just gonna put myself out. Like we're driving here all over again. Yes. So next candle, brown, got a brown candle. I don't think I've ever seen a brown candle.

I've seen a brown candle, but it was an accident when I was making candles and the colors didn't work, and then it turned to mud.

It was a poop accident. Yeah, it turned into mud butt candle, yeah. Brown stability, home protection, grounding, family matters, animal or pet healing, security, and earth-based magic. So, as much shit as we talked about the brown candle, it's actually pretty rad. I mean, dirt is brown, so I guess that makes sense. It does make sense. It does make sense.

And I would want to do home protection, or maybe if you've got something going on that you don't really know how to navigate within the family. Family matters. I was trying to think of an example, but I couldn't think of one. Like, I don't know, you broke your mom's base, and it was her favorite base, you know, she's really upset about it.

But held your grandma's ashes, and it's irreplaceable.

It's irreplaceable, yeah. Like Beyoncé, and you are trying to figure out how to fix this, and like nothing's working. She's still super pissed at you. Brown candle. Good to know. Moving right along, we have last but not least, it's our gold candle or yellow, success, abundance, wealth, masculine energy, solar power, achievement, and enlightenment.

Well, okay. I guess you could use yellow, like a dip, maybe a different tone of yellow than like a pastel.

Yep, you definitely could. So you can always personalize your candles when you are ready to do candle magic. It works best when your intention is clear. You can really meditate on it before you actually bring out the candle and get it going. You can anoint the candle with oils, you can write things in the candles like carve it in the candles, rooms, names, dates, anything that has to do with what your intention is. You can carve into the candle and then anoint the candle with the oils. Now I did learn with anointing, if you want it to come to you, I would pick up the candle, I would, I would put some drops of the oil that you're using on the candle, and I would stroke the candle with your fingers towards you so that whatever your intention is, you're bringing it in.

And then if you want it to go away from you, you do it basically think top to bottom towards you, bottom to top, away from you.

Yeah. And literally, I would I would pick the candle up and literally hold it towards me and just pull. Yeah. So, and I was focusing on whatever it was coming to me, and doing that meditation before you actually light your candle is going to push that magic a lot further for you, push that intention a lot further for you. So it's not just you know, lighting a red candle, right? Use symbols, use runes, use names, use rose petals, use a love oil, use a protection oil, whatever you're doing, and really dress up that baby. Dress up that candle. You're taking it to dinner, you're setting your intentions. This is what we're doing, right?

And you can even, when you're anointing the candle, you can then use the oil as almost like a glue to add corresponding herbs. So, like if you're doing a pink candle or a red candle, you can add the rose petals, the lavender, rosemary, any anything like that to adhere to your candle so that when it burns, you've also set intentions behind your herbs as well. Makes it also raw.

Yes. And what I would do when I was doing my um candle magic is I would take the oil and I would do what I needed to with the oil. And then when I started to add my different herbs and spices, I would take it and I would sprinkle out like this is for love and this is for softness, and this is for understanding and coming to me. And this is like I the different herbs that I would use, I would say aloud what my intention was, even for the each individual herb that I was using.

So if that's what you're into, because it it helps me mentally when I'm doing it. That way my intentions to me feel clear.

Right. And it definitely needs to be clear when you're doing it.

Exactly. Now, if you're not that person that wants to say everything out loud, you got a bunch of people in the house, you don't want them to hear everything. You can do it in your head. That's totally fine. Just for me personally, that's how I like to do it. But now we've gone through the colors of the candle, you've picked which spell you're going to do, you've set up your candle. Now we're gonna light the candle. And did you know flames have meaning? Tell me more. So observing a candle's flame, how a candle's flame behaves during a spell, is known as high romancy or flame divination. So this can tell you a lot about how your spell is going. I didn't know it was called flame divination. Yes, so you can you can tell, okay. Well, we'll we'll do this. I'll get into it. It's a common way to interpret energy, obstacles, spiritual presence, or just the overall outcome. These signs do come from folk magic, like hoodoo, wicca, and just modern practices. Interpretations can be personal and intuitive, it can be what feels right to you, but these are the most commonly accepted flame behaviors. Lay it on me. Okay, so you light your candle and you have a steady, strong, tall flame. It's bright, consistent. There's no waves or anything like that. You just have a really nice, bright flame. This is one of the best signs, it indicates strong, focused energy behind your intention, confidence in your working, alignment with your goal, and likely success. No success and fast manifestation. So this means your spell has very powerful support. You did everything right and it's working. If you have a small, low or weak flame, like it's dim, barely flickering, struggling, that suggests low energy, weak willpower, insufficient power fueling the spell, or that more patience or time is needed. So do it again. It it can, yes. Um, because it can mean there are obstacles, doubt, or maybe your intention needs a little bit of strengthening, a little bit more focus on your part. Sometimes it signals the spell may not manifest strongly, or it may require some additional work. So you may need to add some stuff to it, some things and some stuff. Now, if you have a flickering or dancing flame, it's waving or fluttering or moving irregularly, it's just doing all kinds of weird shit. It's very high chaotic, fluctuating energy. That's the energy that's present. This often means spirits or external external forces are involved. I'm leaving that in. Hey, sounds good. Could be that you're getting communication from some of your spirit guides or ancestors, interference from opposing energy. So, for example, say you're doing a love spell and that that thing starts dancing, that flame is twerking hard. It could be your spirit guides telling you it's grandma Susan telling you, no, no, that one's not for you. It could be that your spirit guides are saying no, or it could be their spirit guides interfering with what you're doing.

Yes. So it could be anything like that. Something is opposing this. There can also be resistance and blockages. It might indicate wavering fortunes or that things are shifting. If it's mild, it can just mean active energy. If intense, check for doubts or external influences like wind or the fans blowing on it or something like that.

We're trying to tell you that your fan is on. We're trying to give you a message and you are not listening. Okay. If you have a jumping or leaping flame, this is sudden bursts upward, which I have seen. Lots of raw energy or emotion are being released. It shows strong passion, willpower behind the spell, but sometimes points to hesitation, instability, or that the working is fighting against something. Positive if tied to determination, caution if erratic. I don't really have anything on that one. I haven't seen a lot of jumping or leaping flames when I've been doing this.

I don't I don't have a lot of experience with that. Now the flickering, the twerking flames, yes, I have. Twerkin, but we also have cackling, cackling. It's laughing at you. Crackling, popping, of course, sputtering flame. Often a sign of spiritual communication or discord. Pops can mean spirits are speaking, energy is breaking through blockages, or concentration slash focus is needed.

Turn your fan off. I need to talk to you, and I need for you to focus. Crackling might indicate arguments, opposition, or that the spell is clearing negativity. In some cases, it could be asking for more um more energy from you. They're like, we're trying to do this, but you're not giving us enough. Commit to the bit. Yes. See. All right. So now we got some colors. Blue flames. Powerful spiritual sign indicates high spiritual beings, angels, guides, deities, or elevated entities.

Exactly. Yes. A spiritual interview with you. Perfect. But this is a positive sign, especially for protection, healing, or divination. So if you do see a blue flame and you're, you know, trying to do the spell work for these specific things, very, very good sign. Now we have red, yellow, or orange flames. Normal but intense. Isn't that just fire? Anyways, I'm gonna keep reading.

This can be a very uh this can be very effective for material goals like money or passion. Okay, so we'll take it. Yeah. So if you rot if you light a red candle and you get a red flame, good for you, honey. He he'll he will call. He'll text you back. He will text you back. All right. Dual flames, two separate flames on one wick. I have had this before. It could mean partnership. Someone is working with or against you, divided intentions or reflection of energy. This could be like the reflection could be returning a hex in like protection work. But the context of the spell matters a lot here because I know sometimes people will do love spells, but maybe they're thinking about somebody else. Well, that can show up in your flame. Like they're doing a love spell on this person, they really love this person, but then they're like, Oh, Dave from work.

I only thought about you once during my spell. Get out. He won't even know what hit him. All right. Flame going out unexpectedly. No wind, no weird gust, whatever. Nothing. It just goes out on its own. Generally not great. Oh, good. That's happened to me also. It doesn't have to be all bad. It just means that your spell was rejected. Try it again. Timing is wrong. Strong opposition, or the intention isn't aligned or right for now. But I've had them go out too. But you just kind of wait and you think on it and you align yourself and make sure that's something that you really want. Then you try it again. Maybe it'll work that time. Third time's the charm. 14 times is a charm. I think I've done about that many love spells. You've done more than 14.

Um, yes. Anyways, moving on. Sudden clear-ups are very bright surge. Oh, okay. Captured intention or a burst of power, often positive. Like the spell is is catching on strongly. So um some of these are redundant, but they do have their place. There's also the direction that the flame is in. Like if it's towards you, it's a good reception away from you, sending energy out, or smoke color. The smoke color, I've had some smoke color. Um, white is for support, black is resistance. I have had black. So in looking back, they were trying to tell me some things. You can also combine, I would actually always do this. Combine flame readings with wax patterns, soot, or often how the candle extinguishes for like a full picture of your outcome of the of the spell.

You were so um I actually so I what and the plate was um it was flame resistant, and I had used it a lot for candle magic because it was flat, it was long, it was good for it. And then I lit it, I set my intentions, and then all of a sudden it just burst. The plate went everywhere. There was fire in the floor, I had to run it outside. It was it was chaos.

But just remember when you're reading the quality of the flames, you have to think about like wick issues, room conditions, any any influence can um what is the word that I'm looking for? It can make you the reading of the flame or the candle or the smoke off if you have some things going on. Yeah, like window open fan going accurate, yeah. Yes, that will make it not accurate. So that's that's what I have the candle colors and um the flames after you set your intentions with a candle. So I'm definitely going to be doing some colors.
